Make Your Own Website

Start With Solo Build It!

Make your own website? My name is Monica and I want to show you how I am able to share my passion for sewing with the world.

If you want to build a website based on what you know and love to do, then read on.

This is my story, how I built my own website.

I hope this inspires you  to share your knowledge and passion and build your very own website.

Make your own website-How I started

  • Have you ever wanted to build a website but had no idea where to start?  Do you have an expertise or something you love to do and wondered how you could share your knowledge with everyone.
  • You can, and if you do it right, you may find your self, supplementing or even replacing the income that you already earn, and doing it from the comfort of your home.
  • It sounds too good to be true, but it can happen. Many people have turned their passions and hobbies into a home based business.
  • That is exactly what I set out to do. I was a stay at home mom with 4 kids. I love being at home and offering my family the stability and attention they need, creating a website and sharing my knowledge of sewing, gave me the opportunity to do all of this.
  • I have been sewing for more than 35 years and I could see that there was a need for free information on the topic of sewing on the internet. I wanted to offer my knowledge at no cost to anyone that wanted to learn to sew. I started putting two and two together and took some night school classes on how to make your own website.
  • I have to admit though, learning how to make your own website seemed more difficult than I thought. I didn't know website coding or any other web building language, so I starting searching for other easier ways to make a website.

The Steps I Took

I began by searching the internet for "Make Your Own Website" information and I was over whelmed at what was available. I had no experience in web design and new nothing of computer language coding, such as HTML, CSS and so on.

There are a lot of website building companies out there, but I found that they didn't offer step by step on how to build a website. For that reason, I was able to eliminate most of the information that was available. I was looking for a, "take me by the hand tutorial" which would show me every thing I need to do, with out needing to know the computer language that web designers speak.

Nothing I looked into was for me. I came across some advertisements for Site Build It and took a closer look.

Site Build It, offered step by step information on exactly how to make your own website. I was still a little over whelmed, but I could see that SBI offered so much of what I was looking for.

I decided to take the plunge, (which isn't much of a plunge at all, Site Build It has a 90 day money back guarantee), and subscribe to this opportunity. I have never looked back. I set out to spread my knowledge of sewing and ended up learning more than I ever imagined.

SBI is constantly adding features to improve your understanding of web building which can only improve your website, and the price for their service has always stayed the same.

I love the experience of working on my site and taking pride in what I know and sharing it with everyone in a way I can be proud of.

Affiliate Program Opportunities

What is an affiliate program? An affiliate program is a relationship between you (an affiliate) and a company (the advertiser). When you join an affiliate program, for example, Clickbank, Amazon, Shareasale, you have the option to partner with companies that will create a specific "url" that links to your website. You place your "affiliate link" on your website that links back to the advertisers website and if a person purchases from your link, you make a commission.

Affiliate links are one way to monitize your website. You can probably tell that I use a few different affiliates, such as Clickbank InfolinksAmazon, Shareasale, and CJ Affiliate by Conversant to name a few. Because I offer free sewing information at Sew Stitch Learn, adding affiliate links helps me earn a little income to off set the costs. When you start your website, think about how you can monetize and earn some income to do the same.
