Kids Pajamas. A Quick & Easy Learn To Sew Project.

I love the feel of flannel pajamas. They keep you cozy and warm in the cooler days and nights. My kids wear their flannel bottoms for lounging around the house. You can almost never have enough pairs of PJ's.

There is an almost endless variety of patterns to choose from, and the same pattern can be used for boys or girls.

My daughter is 12 years old and she made her pajamas in one afternoon. She wanted to make a pattern from an existing pair of pjs she had.

They are her favorite, so I helped her draft a pattern and this is the result.

Pajama Fabric

When you choose a fabric for your pajamas, make sure the fabric is fire safe. The fabric you purchase from the store or online should be of fire safe code, but it would hurt to ask first.

Some fabric suggestions would be; flannel, cotton, stretch knits, stretch terry, stretch velour. There are so many prints for kids to suit their taste and personality. Below are some examples from online fabric stores.
