Free sewing projects make for great inspiration when you are first learning this craft. We don't tend to want to invest too much money into learning something new. So free is awesome.

Craftsy.com covers all the bases when it comes to creativity. There are tutorials you pay for, but there are many freebies too. Click the link to find a free project that may be of interest. 


Simplicity.com sells patterns and notions, but they also provide free sewing inspiration. Have a look and see if there is inspiration that may appel to you.

Allfreesewing.com is a wonderful community that shares sewing inspiration and also a place to offer your sewing projects. I have shared some of my projects here, so it's a great sewing place to give a little and take a little, so we are all inspired all the time. 

Share Your Free Sewing Projects

If you want to share you can do that right here. This is a place to show off talents. Your free sewing projects! Have you been creative lately? Do you want to share what you have created?  Sew Stitch Learn is a great place to share. We can learn so much from each other, when we share our projects.

It doesn't have to be perfect.  It's great to share free sewing information with your fellow sewers, that we can all learn from.

Submission Guidelines 

We want to see what your making. Your a genius and we want to hear from you.

  1. Please send photos, the form below gives you opportunity to send photos of your project. We all want to see what you make.
  2. In at least 150 words or more, tell us what inspired you to make this project. Save your writeup in a text editor like "Word" just in case...you know how computers can be.
  3. Tell us what pattern you used, or did you make your pattern?
  4. Tells us what fabric you use?
  5. Tell us what changes you made to the pattern if applicable. Did you eliminate any steps or alter in any way?
  6. Tell us what was the most satisfying part of this project. Did you over come a sewing challenge that you tend to avoid?
  7. Would you sew this project again? Would you recommend the project to another sewer?
  8. Give your project submission a compelling title.
    Name Your  Sewing Project...it will help a lot if you start with "Free"and end with "Sewing Project". Something like, "Free Throw Pillow Sewing Project". Most appreciated.
  9. Paste the Title into the submission form.
  10. Paste the text you wrote, and...please send photos :)
